The Groundmaster tripod has been designed for heavy duty applications where stability and torsional stiffness of payloads up to 250kg is of primary importance.

To quickly deploy heavy payloads in all conditions, the Groundmaster tripod head has location features to precisely register matching interfaces without special tools or visual alignment. In addition to retention by the tripod's draw bolt, payloads can be installed semi-permanently using 3 fixing holes in the tripod head. For additional security when operating rotating payloads, the tripod head features 3 radial location slots.

For maximum stability at exposed locations when high wind loading of tripod and payload can occur, Groundmaster includes ground anchor attachment points on its underside and a heavy duty cast foot design suitable for pinned and bolt down installations.

Groundmaster tripods are constructed from high strength aluminium and corrosion resistant steel. It features adjustable leg angle and telescopic leg extensions to suit a range of operating heights and minimise stowed length. The adjustment of leg angle and length is achieved using heavy-duty screw clamps.

For convenience during stowing and transport, Groundmaster tripods have an integral strap to encircle and restrain the leg sections when not in use.
